Privacy Policy
Askli runs product research. That means the service handles research questions, study plans, participant conversations, evidence, and support context. This policy describes the product as it exists today.

Askli is for product and customer research. Please do not submit regulated or highly sensitive information unless Askli has confirmed the use case in writing.
Information we collect
Askli may collect account information from sign-in, study and research content you submit, research plans, participant interview content, participant or recruitment information needed to run a study, support and feedback submissions, first-party analytics events, and payment status information. Bring-your-own participant links can be created without uploading customer names or email addresses, although participant roster features may store the participant information you choose to enter.
How Askli uses information
Askli uses information to operate the service: clarify research questions, generate research plans, create participant links, conduct AI-moderated interviews, synthesize findings, preserve evidence links, run integrity checks, process support requests, maintain security, improve reliability, and understand product usage through allowlisted analytics events.
Participants
Participants do not need Askli accounts. Participant endpoints use opaque tokens. Interview responses are saved so Askli can analyze the study and show evidence to the research owner. Participant responses may be processed by AI systems as part of moderation, synthesis, and integrity review.
Third-party providers
Askli uses service providers to operate the product, including hosting, authentication, database/storage, payment processing, AI/model processing, participant recruiting, and support email delivery where configured. Payments are handled through Stripe checkout flows. Authentication is handled through Clerk where configured. Study records are stored through Askli's application database. AI processing uses configured model providers.
Analytics
Askli uses first-party analytics with an allowlisted event endpoint. For deployed visits, Askli may store a broad country and region inferred by the hosting provider from the request IP; Askli does not store the IP address in analytics. The implementation strips undeclared properties and is designed not to store research questions, transcript text, participant names, participant emails, finding text, or other sensitive research content in analytics events.
Security
Askli uses application-level owner checks for researcher endpoints, opaque participant tokens for interview access, server-side provider keys, and signed payment/webhook verification where payment flows are used. No website copy should be read as a claim of formal compliance certification, zero-retention handling, data residency commitments, or specialized regulated-data readiness.
Retention and deletion
Askli keeps information as needed to provide the research service, preserve study outputs, support customer access, process payments, maintain auditability, and operate the product. If you want deletion or export of account or research information, contact support. Askli does not currently publish a fixed deletion timeline.
Choices
You can choose whether to bring your own participants or use Askli-assisted recruiting where available. You control what study content you submit and what customer information you provide. Do not submit regulated or highly sensitive information unless Askli has explicitly confirmed the use case is appropriate.
Children and sensitive research
Askli is not designed for research with children or for regulated/highly sensitive research such as health records, financial account credentials, passwords, or information requiring specialized compliance handling. Contact support before using Askli for sensitive work.
